This notice explains what information Perth Yoga Studio handles when you use this website. You can browse the site without creating an account or submitting personal information. The site does not provide contact, booking, payment, newsletter or public comment forms. We do use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the site is used, and our web host processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website.
Perth Yoga Studio is responsible for the website processing described in this notice. For a privacy question or request, contact June Mitchell by email at june.cysyoga@gmail.com or on 07734 695 273, or write to Perth Yoga Studio, Old Academy Building, 6 Rose Terrace, Perth, PH1 5HA.
Website analytics. We use Independent Analytics, a WordPress plugin, to understand general use of the site, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, approximate location, browser or device information, and whether a browser has visited before. The plugin runs on this website and stores its statistics in the site’s WordPress database; it does not send those analytics records to the Independent Analytics provider. The plugin does not use cookies. To estimate location and recognise repeat visits, it processes an IP address and browser user-agent and creates a one-way hashed identifier; it does not store the IP address in plain text. We use these statistics to understand and improve the website.
Independent Analytics is currently configured to retain its statistics until they are manually deleted; automatic deletion is not enabled. The database is held by our website hosting provider, which may also process technical request and security logs (for example, IP address, requested page, date and time, browser information and referring page) to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service. The host controls its own log-retention arrangements.
Messages and bookings. There is no form on this website. If you choose to contact June using the email or phone links, the information you provide is handled through your email or telephone service and used to respond to you and keep any necessary business records. Classes and therapies are booked directly with independent teachers and therapists. If you contact one of them, they receive and handle the information you provide for that enquiry or booking under their own privacy practices.
We use website statistics and necessary technical logs for our legitimate interests in running, understanding and securing the website. When you contact June or a teacher directly, the information in your message is used to respond to your enquiry or take steps you request, and where appropriate to make or manage an arrangement. We keep business records where needed for legal or accounting obligations.
Independent Analytics does not set analytics cookies. WordPress may use necessary technical cookies in certain situations, such as when an authorised administrator signs in to manage the site. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies on this website.
This website links to external services, including Google Maps, Facebook, CYS Yoga Teacher Training and teachers’ or therapists’ websites. When you follow a link, that provider’s own privacy notice and cookie practices apply. Google Maps and Facebook are links, not embedded content on this website.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts to display its typography. When your browser requests these font files, Google may receive technical connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Google’s privacy notice explains how Google handles information. The website also uses its host’s StackCache/StackCDN service to deliver caching assets; the host may process connection information as part of that service.
Analytics information is stored in the website’s WordPress database with our hosting provider. We do not send it to an analytics company. The hosting provider processes technical information as needed to provide and secure the website. Information in direct messages is shared only with the people and service providers needed to handle the enquiry, or where we are required to share it by law.
You can choose not to contact us through the website’s email or phone links. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Under data protection law, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. These rights depend on the circumstances. To make a request, contact June Mitchell using the details above. Our analytics is designed not to retain raw IP addresses, so we may be unable to identify a particular visitor from the statistics.
You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
We may update this notice if the website or the way information is handled changes. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
